Assignment: This week, I shot pictures in the fall colors category. Right now, the colors of many of the trees are beautiful and you can create a lot of different looks. I mostly took pictures of the woods and leaves because of their rich colors. Reflection: It was very fun to be able to photograph all of the pretty colors of this time of year with all of the new knowledge I have about how to make pictures look good. The colors photograph really well and make it easy for the photographer to get good photos.

Assignment: For this assignment, we had to take multiple photos in a line and then stitch them together using photoshop. We used many skills like the manual settings, photoshop, and autofocus. It was challenging, but fun. Reflection: This assignment was very challenging to achieve. It was tough to get the photos to match up perfectly and not look distorted.
This week, I chose to do a nature shoot. For the nature category, we are supposed to capture nature in a creative and interesting way. I think my photos do this pretty well and I am proud of the ones I took. Reflection: These photos were super fun to take and they definitely challenged me. It was hard to get the sun in the picture just right and still have the other subjects visible and in focus. I ended up taking almost 2 hours to take these photos because I kept getting new and more ideas. I really enjoyed this shoot.
Assignment description: For this assignment, we were asked to follow guided instructions to replicate a demo photo edited in photoshop. We used tools such as the stamp, selection tool, and levels adjuster. We were to make our photo of the car look as close as possible to the demo photo using photoshop. What I learned: I learned a variety of new tools from photoshop throughout this assignment. I had never used the stamping tool or the selection tool, so using them was a new experience for me and it definitely made me more knowledgable on photoshop. I think I am just overall better at using photoshop as I have become more familiar with it due to this assignment. The tools I learned how to use will be very valuable throughout the class for all the photos I take.
Assignment description: For this assignment, I chose to do macro. For macro, the subject should be really close and focused in. The background should be out of focused and is usually blurry. I think I accomplished this in the photo of the branch of a pine bush. Reflection:
My second photo inspiration will be macro. Macro photos are very pleasing and intriguing to the eye and they interest me a lot. Getting in very close to a subject to see all of the fine details can be challenging, but when done right, it creates a beautiful photo.
Description of assignment: For this first photo assignment, I chose to do the animal category. I took pictures of my dog and attempted to capture his personality in a photo. In the main photo, he is pictured laying down looking at a stick, rather adorably. He is lazy and lays around but also loves to play, so I think I captured this. The assignment says to capture the animal in their natural state and environment, which I think I did. The photo should look pleasing and use the compositional points that we learned about. My photo is focused in on the subject and it fills the frame well with minimal background distractions. Reflection: For this photo assignment, I took pictures of something I knew and am comfortable around, which made it easier. It will be interesting to see how I can take photos of different things and new places in the future. I really enjoyed using the skills I learned in class for the real world and being able to adjust certain things on the camera to improve the images. I used simple things on the camera that I never used to know about and it is cool to me that I know so much about taking photos from so little time. I love my dog so taking photos of him was really enjoyable and I think they turned out well. It was difficult to get the settings for each photo just right in accordance with the sun and outside environment. It was also a challenge to capture photos of a moving subject, in this case, my dog. I learned a lot and am excited for next week's assignment.
My first inspiration is animals. I love animals and am really interested in the many different images I can create with them. For this assignment, I am hoping to capture the activity or nature of an animal and illustrate the intriguing features. I will take pictures of my dog and all of the funny and cute things he does. He also has a really interesting coat color, which I hope to show in the sunlight in some capacity. For this assignment, we were asked to take notes and learn about the different aspects that make photos look good and then take photos to illustrate these aspects. The aspects included pattern, lines, texture, rule of thirds, depth of field, symmetry, colors, balance, perspective, space, and framing. What I learned: The process of learning about each aspect of composition in photos was interesting and I learned a lot. Some of the photos were hard to fit into a category with the limited landscapes we have at the school, and even finding photos that illustrated the categories at home was challenging. I liked creating photos that interested me and exploring the many different ways to make photos look intriguing. I learned a lot more about the controls of a camera than I previously knew, which surprised me. Although the note-taking and technical learning aspects were somewhat boring, the experience was rewarding and enjoyable. I think I'll use this knowledge all throughout the trimester in future assignments and even later in life.
